Trip to Numazu Part 1 – Coelacanth Museum

Trip to Numazu Part 1 – Coelacanth Museum This past weekend I took a trip to Numazu, which is a city placed at the Western side of the Izu Peninsula of the Shizuoka prefecture. Located just two hours by train from Tokyo, Numazu is a convenient place to visit for pleasure and gourmet. And that is exactly what I went […]

Sakura 2018

Sakura 2018 It’s that time of year again where I post a bunch of photos of sakura! I (well, us Japanese people) never get bored of looking at and taking photos of the sakura. In fact, I myself, go to the same place (Nakameguro) every year just to take similar photos. This got me thinking – why do I do […]

That night as I flipped through the pages of the book, I immediately got sucked into the content. The book […]

Honolulu Marathon 2017

Honolulu Marathon 2017 In December last year I went on a trip to Honolulu to run the Honolulu marathon. This marks my 7th full marathon. I finished the race in over 5 hours, which was my personal worst. Near the halfway point there was heavy rainfall which was pretty bad. Though the rainbow afterwards was quite stunning. The temperature wasn’t […]

Cycling on the Shimanami Kaido

Cycling on the Shimanami Kaido The day after the rabbit island, I went on a full day cycling tour of the Shimanami Kaido. The Shimanami Kaido is a long path that goes across the Setouchi ocean, between Hiroshima and Shikoku. It features beautiful scenery, a bunch of bridges, and an excellent experience. From Onomichi(where I stayed and started) to Imabari […]

Trip to Rabbit Island (Ohkuno-jima)

Trip to Rabbit Island (Ohkuno-jima) This past weekend I took a trip to Ohkuno-jima, which is an island that is a part of Hiroshima Prefecture. It is commonly known as the bunny island, since the island is inhabited with a lot of rabbits. A LOT of them. And it is the cutest thing ever. The only way to get to […]
